Hillcrest was the first winery in Oregon founded by Richard Sommer in 1961. Dyson and Susan Demara purchased the winery in 2003 and focus on an old world style. They ferment reds in concrete, have skin contact for 30-60 days and often age them in older oak barrels 2-4 years creating wines that reflect a sense of place. http://www.hillcrestvineyard.com
